Confused about where to spend the weekend off? You can invite your family to visit Prigen Safari Park to get acquainted with Wally, a cute and funny wallaby.

Once rowing, two three islands were exceeded. The proverb is very suitable to describe Taman Safari Indonesia II, which is located in Prigen, East Java. Besides acting as a recreational area, this place is also used to learn about animal life in its natural habitat.

This area is a wildlife sanctuary located at an altitude of 800 mdpl on the slopes of Mount Arjuna with an area of 350 hectares. This place is the most recommended as a natural tour to meet exotic animals in East Java.

Animals that are here are protected, so that they are not extinct. For example there are orangutans and Sumatran elephants whose population is decreasing from year to year. Uniquely, this safari park presents animals and habitats from 5 continents at once. So you don't have to travel the world again to meet animals on the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and America.

In Prigen Safari Park, the animals are not inside the cage so it becomes a challenge for visitors. It's really a different feel from other zoos in Indonesia. Therefore, tourists who want to enjoy this area must use a private car or safari bus provided by the manager. But for certain zones, you can still interact with animals without having to use a vehicle. You can walk while enjoying the cool mountain air here.

One of the animals that is the prima donna here is wallabies in the Australian Zone. The name wallaby itself comes from the Eora tribe which is a native inhabitant of the Sydney area. These native Kangaroo native animals can be found throughout Australia, especially in remote areas, such as in Freycinet National Park, Namadgi National Park and others.

In addition to Australia, wallabies are also found in Papua! The spread of wallabies from Australia to Papua occurred in the ice age, which was around 14,000-17,000 years ago when the sea level receded. When the Australian and Papuan lands converge, there are grasslands that stretch from northern Australia to the southern part of Papua. With this stretch of grassland that allows the spread of wallabies from Australia to Papua.

Walabi is a species that is still related to kangaroos, the difference is the smaller size. When standing, the kangaroo looks more erect and slender, while the wallaby is slightly bent and looks fatter. Walabi are animals that live in groups with a number of herds of about 10 to 50.

These cute animals are herbivores, where their favorite foods are green grass and young shoots. Wallabies have an abdominal bag that serves to protect and breastfeed their baby. The baby wallaby will enter and inhabit its parent sac for almost 9 months.

When it starts to grow, the wallaby child will come out of his mother's bag and start playing outside. However, when feeling scared or in danger, a wallaby will jump and take refuge in his mother's bag.

Even though it's small in size, you shouldn't underestimate the wall power. The big and strong two hind legs can be used to jump and kick when the condition is in danger. But you don't need to be afraid, while you don't panic or be surprised, they will always be friendly with visitors. Especially here you will be accompanied by the manager so that the security of your family will be guaranteed.

One of the wallabies that is friendly with tourists is the wallaby named Wally. For friends who want to feed Wally, you will be guided by staff on guard. The food provided has been adjusted, so that wall health is maintained properly. For one time eating a wallaby and taking a photo will be charged a fee of ten thousand per person.

We should be proud because in addition to this area is the largest safari park in Asia, here is also an area of conservation of endangered species that are beginning to be threatened. Wallabies are one of the many animals that are hunted for meat. This is certainly very worrying because if this large-scale wallaby hunt is not stopped, it is feared that this wallaby will experience extinction.
